ƯÈ÷ ¿ÃÇØºÎÅÍ´Â ¹ø¿ªÀεéÀÇ ÃæºÐÇÑ ¹ø¿ªÈ°µ¿À» µ½±â À§ÇØ ¹ø¿ªÁö¿ø±ÝÀ» ´ëÆø Áõ¾×Çϰí ÃâÆÇÁö¿øÁ¦µµ¸¦ ½Å¼³ÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù. ´ë»ê¹®ÈÀç´ÜÀº ±³º¸»ý¸íº¸ÇèÁÖ½Äȸ»ç¸¦ ÀÏÀ¸Å² ´ë»ê ½Å¿ëÈ£¼±»ýÀÇ ¶æ¿¡ µû¶ó ±³º¸»ý¸íÀÇ Ã⿬À¸·Î ¼³¸³µÇ¾ú½À´Ï´Ù.
The Daesan Foundation was established in 1992 by the generous donation of Mr. Yong Ho Shin (honorific name Daesan, great mountain), founder and honorary chairman of Kyobo Life Insurance Co., Ltd., to promote globalization of Korean literature and to enrich Korean culture. The Foundation is supporting translation of Korean literary works and their publication overseas. The Foundation invites application for grants by able translators and awards them to selected applicants. There is a separate partial grant to overseas publishers undertaking publication of translation works completed under this grant. The following is the guidelines in submitting applicants for grants.

Full linguistic command of Korean and the target language and literary/critical sensibility necessary for literary translation.
2) Çѱ¹Àΰú ¿Ü±¹ÀÎ °¡¿îµ¥ ÇÑÂÊÀÌ ÁÖ¹ø¿ª ´Ù¸¥ ÇÑÂÊÀÌ º¸Á¶¹ø¿ª(±³¿, À±¹®)ÀÌ °¡´ÉÇÑ »ç¶÷.
The translation should be a team effort of at least one Korean and one native speaker of the target language, and one member of the translation team should act as its leader,in whose name the application is submitted, to whom the entire grant is made, and who signs the contract agreement with the Foundation.

10. Áö¿ø±Ý Áö±Þ Awarding of grants
1) È®Á¤µÈ Áö¿ø±ÝÀº ±ÝÀ¶±â°ü ¼Û±Ý¹æ½Ä¿¡ ÀÇÇØ ºÐÇÒ Áö±ÞÇÔ.
The award will be deposited into the team leader/'/s bank account.
2) ¹ø¿ªÁö¿ø±ÝÀº 2ȸ ºÐÇÒÇÏ¿© ¹ø¿ªÂø¼ö½Ã 50%, ¹ø¿ªÀÌ ¿Ï·áµÈ ÈÄ ½ÉÀÇÀ§¿øÈ¸ÀÇ ½ÉÀǸ¦ °ÅÃÄ
ÀÜ¾× 50%¸¦ Áö±ÞÇÔ.
The translation grant will be awarded in two parts, half of it immediately after the announcement, and the remainder after the completed translation is submitted and the evaluation committee approves the quality and accuracy of the translation.
3)ÃâÆÇÁö¿ø±ÝÀº Àç´Ü°ú ÃâÆÇ»ç°£ ÃâÆÇ°è¾à ü°á ÈÄ ÃâÆÇ»ç¿¡ ºÐÇÒ Áö±ÞÇÔ.
The publication grant will be awarded in two parts according to the contract.
11. Áß°£º¸°í¼ Interim Report

Áß°£º¸°í¼¸¦ ¼ÒÁ¤¾ç½Ä¿¡ µû¶ó Á¦ÃâÇÏ¿©¾ß ÇÔ.
Grant recipients are required to submit interim reports on the progress of their translation within six months after receiving the first installment of the grant.
12. ¹ø¿ª°á°ú¹°
The rights and obligations of the grant recipients regarding their finished translation work(s) include :
1) ¹ø¿ª °á°ú¹°ÀÇ ¸ðµç ±Ç¸®´Â ¿øÀÛÀÚ ¶Ç´Â ¿øÀÛÀÚ¿ÍÀÇ ÇùÀdz»¿ë¿¡ µû¶ó¹ø¿ªÀÚ¿¡ ÀÖÀ½.
´Ü, º» Àç´ÜÀº ¹ø¿ª°á°ú¹° ¹× º¸°í¼¸¦Çѱ¹¹®ÇÐÀÇ ¼¼°èÈ¿Í ¹ÎÁ·¹®È â´ÞÀ»À§ÇÑ °£Ç๰¹ß°£ µî¿¡ »ç¿ëÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖÀ½.
The copyright of the translation work(s) belongs to the translator or the author, or jointly, according to the translation agreement between the author and the translator(s). However, the Foundation reserves the right to publish the translation work(s) and the translators/'/ final reports in its own publications for the purpose of promoting international recognition of Korean literature.
2) ¹ø¿ª°á°ú¹°Àº ´ç Àç´Ü ½ÉÀÇÀ§¿øÈ¸ÀÇ ½ÉÀǸ¦ °Åħ.
The completed translation work(s) will be examined by an evaluation committee.
3) ¹ø¿ª °á°ú¹°Àº ÇØ´ç¾ð¾î±ÇÀÇ ÃâÆÇ»ç¿¡¼ ÃâÆÇÇÏ¸ç ¹ø¿ªÀÚ´Â ÇöÁöÃâÆÇÀ» À§ÇÑ ÃâÆÇ»ç ¼·¿Ü, ±³¿(À±¹®) µî¿¡ Àû±Ø ÇùÁ¶ÇÏ¿©¾ß ÇÔ.
The translation work(s) should be published in the country of the target language, and translators should make all-out efforts to secure a reputable publisher. The grant recipients should also cooperate with the publisher in proofreading and doing other matters related to the publication of their works.
13. Áö¿ø ´ë»óÀÚÀÇ Àǹ«
Unforeseen contingencies, changes in plan and acknowledgement of financial support in the published work :
1) Áö¿øÀ» ¹ÞÀº »ç¶÷Àº Áö¿ø ±â°£ Áß »ç°í, Áúº´ µîÀÇ ½Å»óº¯µ¿ »çÇ×ÀÌ ÀÖ¾î Á¤»óÀûÀÎ ¹ø¿ªÀÌ °ï¶õÇÑ °æ¿ì, º» Àç´Ü¿¡ ¼¸éÀ¸·Î º¸°íÇÏ¿©¾ß ÇÔ.
If any illness, accident, or contingencies arise to prevent the grant recipients from fulfilling the terms of their contract, they should notify this information to the Foundation in writing.
2) Áö¿øÀ» ¹ÞÀº »ç¶÷Àº µµÁß¿¡ ¹ø¿ª ´ë»óÀÛǰÀ» º¯°æÇÒ ¼ö ¾øÀ½.
´Ü, ¹ø¿ª ÃßÁø°ú °ü·ÃÇÏ¿© ÀÏÁ¤ ¹× ³»¿ëº¯°æÀÌ ºÒ°¡ÇÇÇϰųª ²À ÇÊ¿äÇÏ´Ù°í ÀÎÁ¤µÇ´Â °æ¿ì Àç´ÜÀÇ »çÀü ½ÂÀÎÀ» ¾ò¾î¾ß ÇÔ.
Grant recipients should not change the works to be translated without prior approval ofthe Foundation. If alteration and/or adjustment of the translation project becomes necessary, grantees should obtain prior approval from the Foundation.
3) ¹ø¿ªÀº Áö¿ø±â°£(1³â)³»¿¡ ¿Ï°áÇÏ¿©¾ß ÇÔ. ´Ü »çÀüÇùÀÇ¿¡ ÀÇÇØ Çʿ䰡 ÀÎÁ¤µÉ °æ¿ì,1³â¿¡ ÇÑÇØ ¿¬ÀåÀÌ °¡´ÉÇÔ.
The period of translation should not exceed one year. However, if the translator requests extension and the Foundation agrees, one-term extension of one year may be allowed.
4) ÃâÆÇ½Ã, ÇØ´çÀÛǰ¿¡ º» Àç´ÜÀÇ ¹ø¿ªÁö¿øÀ» ¹Þ¾Æ ¹ø¿ª, ÃâÆÇµÇ¾úÀ½À» Ç¥±âÇÏ¿©¾ß ÇÔ.
The Foundation/'/s financial support should be clearly acknowledged in the published books.
14. ±â Ÿ Miscellaneous Information
1) Á¦ÃâÇÑ ¼·ù¿Í ÀÛǰÀº ¹ÝȯÇÏÁö ¾ÊÀ½.
Application forms and materials submitted to the Foundation may not be returned.
2) Áö¿øÀÌ È®Á¤µÈ ÈÄ ´ÙÀ½ °¢È£¿¡ ÇØ´çÇÏ´Â »çÀ¯°¡ ¹ß°ßµÇ°Å³ª¹ß»ýÇÏ¿´À» °æ¿ì¿¡´Â º» Àç´Ü ÀÌ»çÀåÀÇ ±ÇÇÑÀ¸·Î È®Á¤µÈ ¹ø¿ªÁö¿ø±ÝÀÇ Áö±ÞÀ» Ãë¼Ò, Áß´ÜÇϰųª ÀÌ¹Ì Áö±ÞÇÑ Áö¿ø±ÝÀÇ ÀüºÎ ¶Ç´Â ÀϺθ¦ ¹ÝȯÇÏ°Ô ÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖÀ½.
If the following cases arise, the Foundation reserves the right to cancel or suspend the grant, and/or demand the return of all or part of the grant already awarded.
°¡. ½Åû ¶Ç´Â º¸°í»çÇ׿¡ ÇãÀ§»ç½ÇÀÌ ¹ß°ßµÇ¾úÀ» ¶§
If an erroneous information has been discovered in the application or supporting materials.
³ª. Áö¿ø±ÝÀ» ¸ñÀû ¿Ü¿¡ »ç¿ëÇÏ¿´À» ¶§
If the grant recipients are found to have used the grant for purposes other than those specified in their contract.
´Ù. ¸ñÀû´Þ¼ºÀÌ ºÒ°¡´ÉÇÏ´Ù°í ÀÎÁ¤µÉ ¶§
If fulfilling the terms of the contract becomes impossible.
¶ó. ¹ø¿ª°á°ú¹°¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ½ÉÀÇ °á°ú ¹ø¿ª¼öÁØÀÌ ÇöÀúÈ÷ ¶³¾îÁø´Ù°í ÀÎÁ¤µÉ ¶§
If the translation is deemed substandard by an evaluation committee.
¸¶. ±âŸ ºÎ´çÇÏ´Ù°í ÀÎÁ¤µÇ´Â ÇàÀ§°¡ ¹ß°ßµÇ¾úÀ» ¶§
If the grant recipients are found guilty of a misdemeanor.
3) º» ¿ä°¿¡ ¸í½ÃµÇÁö ¾Ê¾Ò°Å³ª ±âŸ ÇÊ¿äÇÑ »çÇ×Àº º» Àç´ÜÀÇ Á¤°ü ¹× Á¦±ÔÁ¤ÀÌ Á¤ÇÏ´Â ¹Ù¿¡ µû¸§.
Other contingencies not specified in this guideline will be dealt with in accordance with the Foundation/'/s by-laws and rules.
